Responsible Gaming
Games should be fun. Every game on YonoPlayz is free-to-play with virtual coins and no real money, but even free games can take up more time and attention than you meant to give them. Here's how to keep it healthy.
Our 18+ policy
YonoPlayz is intended for adults aged 18 and over. Many card and casino-style games simulate betting, even with virtual chips, and are not suitable for children. If children use your phone, turn on parental controls (such as Google Family Link) so they can't install apps without your approval.
Healthy gaming habits
- Set a time limit before you start, and use your phone's screen-time tools (Digital Wellbeing on Android) to enforce it.
- Take regular breaks. Stand up, stretch and rest your eyes at least once an hour.
- Keep it virtual. If a game starts asking for money to "unlock winnings", or promises cash prizes, it is not a free game. Uninstall it.
- Watch your in-app spending. Optional purchases of virtual coins add up. Set a monthly limit, or turn off in-app purchases in your app-store settings.
- Don't play to escape. Gaming to cope with stress, sadness or boredom every day is a sign to step back.
- Protect your sleep. Avoid playing late at night.
Warning signs
It may be time to take a break or talk to someone if you:
- play for much longer than you planned, again and again;
- feel restless or irritable when you can't play;
- neglect work, study, sleep, family or friends because of gaming;
- hide how much time or money you spend on games;
- borrow money, or spend money meant for essentials, on games or in-app purchases.
